A Letter from "Mom n Dad"...

A Letter from "Mom n Dad"...

My Child,

When I get old, I hope you understand 'n have patience with me
In case I break the plate, or spill soup on the table because I’m losing my eyesight, I hope you don’t yell at me.
Older people are sensitive, always having self pity when you yell.
When my hearing gets worse 'n I can’t hear what you’re saying, I hope you don’t call me ‘Deaf!’
Please repeat what you said or write it down.

I’m sorry, my child.
I’m getting older.
When my knees get weaker, I hope you have the patience to help me get up.
Like how I used to help you while you were little, learning how to walk.
Please bear with me, when I keep repeating myself like a broken record, I hope you just keep listening to me.
Please don’t make fun of me, or get sick of listening to me.

Do you remember when you were little 'n you wanted a balloon? You repeated yourself over 'n over until you get what you wanted.
Please also pardon my smell. I smell like an old person. Please don’t force me to shower.
My body is weak.
Old people get sick easily when they’re cold. I hope I don’t gross you out.

Do you remember when you were little? I used to chase you around because you didn’t want to shower.
I hope you can be patient with me when I’m always cranky. It’s all part of getting old.
You’ll understand when you’re older.
'n if you have spare time, I hope we can talk even for a few minutes.
I’m always all by myself all the time, 'n have no one to talk to.
I know you’re busy with work.
Even if you’re not interested in my stories, please have time for me.

Do you remember when you were little? I used to listen to your stories about your teddy bear.
When the time comes, 'n I get ill 'n bedridden, I hope you have the patience to take care of me.
I’m sorry if I accidentally wet the bed or make a mess.
I hope you have the patience to take care of me during the last few moments of my life.
I’m not going to last much longer, anyway.
When the time of my death comes, I hope you hold my hand 'n give me strength to face death.

'n don’t worry..
When I finally meet our creator, I will whisper in his ear to bless you. Because you loved your Mom 'n Dad.

Thank you so much for your care.
We love you. ! ♥

Words Can and Do Hurt!

As a kid you might have said a nursery rhyme often: sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words can never hurt me, but as you grew up, you found out that that is not true...words do hurt you and words can cause death..death of relationships, death of friendships, death of a career, death of a marriage, death of a god life, your life and your future and the life and future of others connected to you. So watch not only what you do but truly watch what you say at all times.

And be mindful that too ..it's not always what you say but how you say it. And if you don't want a person in your space or in your life, don't speak harshly to them or about them, just be honest and tell them you don't want them around and don't wait on them to leave you, you leave them alone.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us of this one thing: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 13:3 says: He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.

You can begin to measure the good things in your life by the good words that come out of your mouth, let them produce good fruits: great relationships, great friendships and a great life. Amen?

Practice Obedience: Shama - "to hear, listen, obey"

Yes, the world has gone crazy with titles and positions, when the main thing lacking in the church is obedience and love.

"Obedience of the Word and Love for One Another" That's what God requires of us and you can not enter into Heaven until both is achieved. Get your beautiful robes, the highest degrees, education, empowerment, large congregations and the biggest building you can build but not until you can achieve those two things will any of that matter, not one bit.

Practice Obedience: Shama - "to hear, listen, obey"

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

‎2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Am I Really A Good Steward?

Big Ideals are great but the biggest ideals started off as the simplest thoughts..do the small stuff God gave you to do or you can cancel "your" big thoughts. He needs to see you faithful in the small things first!!! Obedience is better than sacrifice!!!

Today's Question: ASK YOURSELF: Am I Really A Good Steward? "Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward." Luke 16:2

4 Months by Brittney Turner

I did what every teenager likes to do. I had “ fun”

I hung out went to clubs and drank myself nearly to death.

I had my share of fun, and I had my ups and downs

And there were times when I stayed down. Felt like there was no hope for me. Looked all around and found no one.

I was broken

I was this depressed little girl, that had not a care in the world.

And carried the world on my shoulders.

I was just a regular teenager

That struggled with Depression and a bit of suicide

Yep that was my life. Full of pain and strife

Tear after tear, and night after night.

That was I! I had even found alcohol to cure my pain.

What every person does that struggles with depression.

I had a regular session and afterwards I would drink and drink.

Hoping my pain would sink. Trying to Drown my hurt.

So I didn’t have to feel it. But to my surprise it stopped for that moment.

And I was okay, until the next day. until I got the instant replays of my previous days.

I was a wreck an emotional wreck, a train wreck.

A statistic nothing seemed realistic to me.

I didn’t want to exist I just wanted to quit.

I had nothing. I had nobody

But can I tell you that somebody

Came and grabbed a hold of me.

And loved me. For me!

Accepted me for me, saw beyond my problems.

And looked pass my mistakes and never judged me.

Can I tell you that God .

Took me from a dark place

And brought me to a better place.

A place of peace!

Let me tell you about my breakthrough!

When I didn’t know what I was going to do.

When I didn’t know where to turn Or where to run.

He showed up when I was going thru.

He held my hand. He became my right hand man

My best friend,

My beginning, and the end

My night and day,

My comforter, my healer

My heart, my mind, and my soul

Can I tell you that I am here today I’m still standing I survived

Heartache and pain, and that He can take anybody from a bad situation and use them. No matter who you are or what you are going thru. He will use you.

The Butterfly

>One day while walking through the woods, a man found a cocoon.  He decided to take the cocoon home to watch its transformation into a beautiful butterfly.  He gently placed it on his table and watched it for several days. One day a small opening appeared and the cocoon started to move.  The old man sat and watched it for several hours as it struggled and struggled to force its body from the cocoon.

Then it seemed to stop making any progress.  It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and was unable to go any farther.  Finally, the old man feeling sorry for the cocooned butterfly, decided to help the butterfly.  He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.  The butterfly then easily emerged.

But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.  The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened!  In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings.  It never was able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life.  If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would only cripple us.   We would not be as strong as what we could have been.

And we could never fly.

This Too Shall Pass

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be ...

If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me ...

If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that "this will pass away, too!" ...

Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all the chains
That are binding me tight in "the darkness"
And trying to fill me with fear ...
For there is "no night without dawning"
And I know that "my morning" is near.

I Never Dreamed.....

I Never Dreamed

I never dreamed that doing what God said do

would cause so much pain in my life

Friends stopped being friends and even some family members never seem to understand

I never dreamed that discrimination would be my flight

that I would have more lonely days and even fights

Yes, fights, because it's always a battle to stand for what's right

I never dreamed that doing what God said to do would create such confusion

Yes, confusion, because the very people that say they love you and

use to come, ask and accept your advice as friends

are the very ones now not receptive of you in your new position as were back then

I never dreamed that I would have to walk this walk alone

but then again I never Dreamed this at all

But I know now that no matter what

I was chosen to do this and for that I shall stand tall

and while I never dreamed

I'll never stop dreaming of how lives will be touched,

changed in a instant all because I never dreamed

You see I never dreamed that it would make such a difference

giving hope, encouragement that I never dreamed possible

that the unsaved would become saved

that the lost would be saved

that the angry would become angered

and the hurt ..well the hurt would be healed

Yes, I never dreamed, and I'm sure you didn't either

but God did and He knows His plans

so whether you dreamed, believed or doubted

He created these moments and He knows just what to do

so while I never dreamed... He did

And He will allow what He desires to come true

So trust Him and see that, while you never dreamed, What will Be will Be!!!

It's In the Valley That We Grow

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,

Full of sorrow, trouble and woe

It's then we have to remember

That it's in the valleys we grow.

If we always stayed on the mountain top

And never experienced pain,

We would never appreciate God's love

And would be living in vain.

We have so much to learn

And our growth is very slow,

Sometimes we need the mountain tops,

But it's in the valleys we grow.

We do not always understand

Why things happen as they do,

But I am very sure of one thing.

Our Lord will see Us through.

I won't Complain......

O what a happy soul am I!
Although I cannot see,
I am resolved that in this world,
Contented I will be.
How many blessings I enjoy,
That other people don't.
To weep and sigh because I'm blind,
I cannot and I won't!
---Fanny Crosby

Wherever you are ..whatever state you are in...see God's will in it and dare not to complain for He has a plan and a purpose for all you go through. Jeremiah 29

Time you remembered who you really are

God wants you to know ... that it's time you remembered who you really are.
You are not your wallet, your job, your kids, your house. You are not your activities or your worries or the labels other people give you. Like an actor you play these roles, and like a good actor you sometimes forget who you really are. Time to wake up now, and remember that you are a being of immense power and breathtaking beauty created in the image of God.

The richest woman I have ever known...

The Seed within that made me rich

or

The richest woman I have ever known

(A Psalm of Antoaneta)

The richest woman
I have ever known is here,
I look at her every day
as I admire the beauty of her image.

Smile that warms my heart
and feels with joy my soul,
the richest woman I have ever known is here,
more beautiful than ever,
with wisdom coming from above,
with her heart wide open
ready to receive form God
who opened the windows of heaven
and poured so many blessings
that eternity is to small to contain.

The richest woman I have ever known
is in my presence,
I see her every night and every day,
walking among the darkness of the world,
as her Light shies so bright
and her Love pours out,
because of the seed she carries inside.

The seed that grows even in her sleep,
the seed the Lord waters
during trials and tribulations
while she walks.

How beautiful are her feet,
that bring Good News to all who come her way,
how precious are her lips speaking truth
to the nations she Loves and cares for.

Her tears water the seed
as she suffers with Christ
with one thought on her mind,
that she will reign with Him forevermore.

What is a little bit of suffer?

Don't all men suffer
in a world full of corruption and death?

She walks, she gives all she has,
for her riches are everlasting
and her riches are enough for all the nations
of the world that are and are to come.

She is a mother to many,
she is a friend, who stick closer than a sister,
and the walls of her house are great so great,
willing to embrace every soul,
welcoming the hurting
and bringing them to a place of healing
and so much perfect joy.

I know that woman well,
and she knows me too.

We are best of friends
and we never doubts the One
who send her in His name.

Sometimes when she cries, I cry with her,
but she cries because she knows too much,
she has all and the reason she cries
is because she wants to give her all,
yet men want riches which grow corrupt,
riches which will perish,
riches they obtain with their hands,
riches they pay for with sweat on their brows,
but their riches are not everlasting,
their riches perish the day
they return to the ground
where they came from.

For from dust they came
and to dust they shall return,
unless they open their heart for true Love,
everlasting Love and beauty.

The richest woman I have ever known is I,
the one who was blessed with one Word
that grew into a kingdom which is everlasting,
kingdom which will never perish,
kingdom great in glory that comes to all
who seek the Lord with pure heart.

The richest woman I have ever seen
is the one I saw in Christ,
the Lord who was and is and is to come to all
who hunger and thirst after righteousness,
the richest woman has all
and never lucks a good thing,
because what she has is what she is
and she is One with God!

The riches woman,
I have ever seen.

Now look at the mirror
and tell me who do you see?

They that wait upon the Lord....

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The purpose of waiting is growth, maturity, knowledge and to gain understanding.

May this season of waiting bring a true season of change and may you prosper as God would have you to.

God Bless!

Life is not complicated unless you make it that way!

The trouble with so many of us is that we underestimate the power of simplicity. We have a tendency it seems to over complicate our lives and forget what's important and what's not. We tend to mistake movement for achievement. We tend to focus on activities instead of results. And as the pace of life continues to race along in the outside world, we forget that we have the power to control our lives regardless of what's going on outside.

So much passes us by because we want things our way...but if God didn't want you to suffer through some stuff..he never would have allowed satan or his followers to fall to the earth. He already made provision for the difficult times in your life..some stuff you just have to learn to go through to receive the blessing that follows behind each storm...look pass the damage the storm caused and see the blessing that unfolds as soon as the sun begins to shine again.

Some of you know that situation you coming through is not as bad as you are making it to be..because you still want to do your own thing...and God is not going to force you to do right but He will allow you to suffer through some misuse and even abuse till you line up and do what He spoke in your life and situation. He knows what's best..so quit trying to make a lie out of God..if you said God said it....then do it or either you lied from the beginning or it truly shows you have no faith in God.

God is not a man that He should lie...whatever He said is TRUTH!

"Reach Beyond The Break"

There was a Father out fishing on a boat with his son..when the son fell over and was throwed a rope that began to break and put the son at risk of being swept away..that Father told the son..reach beyond the break!

He did and was saved!

God is using me right now to tell you the same...Reach ...now is the time!

Move from that Problem to the Provision that God has provided for you.

For this too shall pass.

Reach Beyond the Break Now!

WAS I THAT EASILY FOOLED?

I've dealt with the following question a lot while counseling many women over the years concerning internet dating: I'm dealing with the Sister's today in a unique manner, God gave me a poem about it, Be blessed! Every woman that has gone through a bad social network dating relationship may ask themselves this question: WAS I THAT EASILY FOOLED? Looking at your picture, You seemed like such a great guy but the more I got to know you the more I saw you lie how could you fool me, was I that eager to appease was it really that easy for you to fool me or was I just wanting to belong and be you know be all that you said I was not listening or believing who God told me I was listening to the half truths and blatant lies being disrespected under my own nose and right before my very eyes who knew who really ever knows after all it's a social network ie Facebook, Tagged, or even Paltalk you know you could be anybody if you just talked the talk and walked the walk. Come on deceive me, that can't be for you made so many promises seemed so for real, it just can't be I mean it just can't be the lies the deception the face behind the screen man right now, I could just scream scream for being stupid and just wanting to believe I mean wanting to believe wanting to trust so how come I feel so deceived like I've been hit by a bus O lord this feeling has to go... it must O but I now realize that deceit comes in all shapes and sizes, big and tall, fat or small no, it doesn't matter so I've got a word to the wise take social romance one day at a time and no matter how great the person seems far or near get to know something more more concrete about the man, my dear other than O He loves me Hush Girl, dry those eyes no, you not.... you not gonna die now wipe away those tears Be safe and never again be unwise and know you're not the only one this been happening for many years that's right, I said years... Can't you hear... Girl, better open up those ears Open those ears and hear the truth And just be wiser, now that you've learned that you can't take every person, on their word check them out, it's not so absurd, get to know them and don't be in a hurry and that's so the end of my story. But before, I go let me leave you with this one wise thought anything worth having is well worth waiting on Godly wisdom teaches you to be wise not rush and be fooled wanting to just be somebody's wife Remember: Your time is coming! Just wait on God, Amen?

A Note: Ladies, don't be deceived, I bet if those of you that are or have dated online take a poll you will find that more than half of you and your friends will discover that at one time or another you have or are talking marriage and/or having a relationship with the same guy on some of these social network sites. You ever wonder why he only sends im's or messages to your inbox and never post or replies personal messages to you on your wall, seriously, Question it!!! Ladies, it's 2011, naiveness went out or should have after high school. So be safe and use wisdom...God bless You Galatians 6:7 And yes, can't go with out saying this, please FORGIVE! "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But, if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
